The Landrover’s Return

']);">Bar made from an old LandroverThe Landrover’s Return is a quirky bar in Africa.  Set in forested hills just outside of a stunning national park, it doesn’t really have a wide audience, so its few customers have this gorgeous spot to themselves.  From under its thatched roof you look out onto beautiful woodland and you can often see wildlife such as genets, monkeys, even elephants and wild dogs.

The name of the bar comes from the unique decor which is based around a Land Rover.  This old safari vehicle was chopped in half, and the front section was made into the main bar.  At night the headlights even work!

']);">Bar tables made from painted car tyresThe tables are the old tyres, but they’ve been ‘pimped’ with some bright and fun artwork by a local artist.

Add to this the friendly face of the barman, Saidy, and you have a bar which is welcoming, fun and a wonderful place to chill out.

If you fancy visiting The Landrover’s Return you will need to come and stay at Sable Mountain Lodge near Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania.
